For more than 25 years, Susannah Hall-Justice has been a strong voice for people across Indiana who need help after a serious injury or when facing criminal charges. She understands that these situations can completely turn your life upside down, which is why she takes the time to listen, explain your options clearly, and fight for the best possible outcome.
With licenses in both Indiana and Illinois, she offers clients a broad scope of representation and the experience needed to handle even the toughest cases.
Susannah’s path to the courtroom started on a farm outside Lafayette, where she learned the value of hard work and perseverance. After earning her undergraduate degree in American History from Harvard University, she went on to Indiana University Maurer School of Law, serving as a managing editor of a law journal before graduating in 1997. Since then, she has dedicated her career to helping clients secure justice in personal injury, wrongful death, and criminal defense matters. Her track record and commitment to clients are reflected in her excellent 4.8-star client reviews and a perfect 10.0 Avvo rating.
Clients who work with Susannah benefit not only from her legal knowledge but also from her leadership within the legal community. She has served as president of both the Carroll County and Tippecanoe County Bar Associations and currently sits on the Board of Governors of the Indiana Trial Lawyers Association. She is also an active member of several professional organizations, including the Indiana State Bar Association, the Cass County Bar Association, and the National College for DUI Defense, Inc. These roles keep her connected with other leading attorneys and ensure her clients benefit from the most current legal strategies.
In addition to representing clients in the courtroom, Susannah is also a respected educator in the legal field. She has been invited to speak at Indiana Trial Lawyers Association seminars, where she has presented on topics such as wrongful death law, personal injury settlements, and representing children in injury cases. Her role as a lecturer demonstrates both her expertise and her willingness to share knowledge with other attorneys, further raising the standard of representation available to clients.
What truly sets Susannah apart is her personal approach to each case. She doesn’t believe in one-size-fits-all solutions, because she knows that every client’s story is different. Whether you’ve lost a loved one in a wrongful death case, suffered a serious injury, or are defending your reputation in a criminal matter, she works directly with you from start to finish. Clients appreciate her honesty, accessibility, and dedication to keeping them informed every step of the way.
Outside of her practice, Susannah remains deeply involved in her community. She has served on boards such as the West Lafayette Redevelopment Commission, Duncan Hall, and the Tippecanoe County Historical Association.
When she’s not in the office or courtroom, she enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, staying active, and reading.

I am currently a client of hers. I do get nervous going to court or just simply meeting with her as my lawyer because I never had to be in a situation that required me to need a lawyer! I feel safe with Ms. Hall-Justice because you can just tell she has your best interest! She listens, observes and make sure you are heard! I am praying to God I don’t have to look like what I’m going through because it’s stressful and I just want to go back to my regular life with my children!Posted on Markham CoatsTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. This attorney is definitely a credit to her craft! She is very personable and never talks down to a client. She makes a person feel like he/she is actually part of what's going on. She negotiated with the prosecutor and i was offered EVERYTHING that I had hoped for and even more! I would definitely hire her again and i highly recommend that you hire her and trust her in what is often a very vulnerable and confusing time.Posted on Joseph MorledgeTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. When we needed a Lafayette attorney to represent us for various charges, Susannah was all we could have hoped for. She had several charges dropped immediately and the remaining minor charges diverted for good behavior. After two months of good behavior, all charges were dismissed. Susannah and her assistant Erica were responsive, supportive and above all very effective. All at very reasonable rates. I have worked as a criminal defense lawyer in the past and I was very impressed.Posted on Devon JonesTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Impressive and refreshing. I called Susannah’s office first thing in the morning to inquire about a minor legal service and left my contact information with her assistant. Susannah personally called me back only a short while later despite how busy she undoubtedly is. It turned out that the legal opinion I required had to be from a practicing attorney in a different state so we didn’t go forward. Still, the fact that she personally returned my call, and was genuinely pleasant and attentive, substantiates her very positive and personal reviews. Not to stray into the negative but what a breath of fresh air compared to most of the attorneys with whom I’ve spoken in this area - routinely terse, rude and bumptious. This (Hall-Justice) is the law office I will call first for any future legal needs. Thank you.
